Biography

Abril is an interdisciplinary artist currently focusing on theater and film work. She was born in Quito, Ecuador, to a Cuban mother and Ecuadorian father. She lived in Quito until she was seven years old, but mostly grew up in Charleston, SC. In 2020, she graduated from the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities from their Drama program. Currently, she is pursuing her BFA in Theater Arts with a concentration in Physical Theater and a minor in Film Studies from Coastal Carolina University. Like Abril's heritage, her work and interests within the arts are diverse and well rounded. This upcoming school year she will be continuing her studies in Physical Theater at a conservatory program in Italy.
